Chris Lane update

I caught Lane live for the first time this past January in Anaheim (see review elsewhere on this blog). Read the latest info on him below...

Chris Lane's “Fix” (Big Loud Records) has reached #1 on both the Billboard Country Airplay and Mediabase charts this week. His first country radio chart topper surpassed 22 million streams on Spotify and 4.5 million views on Vevo.

“My first #1 … doesn't even feel real,” says Lane, in a press release. “Thank you country radio for giving me a chance, for playing this song, for believing in me, and making all of this possible. And, I can’t thank my Big Loud Records team and family enough for their hard work day in and day out. Here's to hopefully many more to come!”

Written by Sarah Buxton, Jesse Frasure and Abe Stoklasa, "Fix" is the lead single from Lane’s just-released debut album Girl Problems, which was produced by Joey Moi (Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen).

Lane threw out the ceremonial first pitch at a Chicago White Sox home game (8/7) before taking the stage to open for Rascal Flatts’ tour stop at Tinley Park there. A competitive college baseball player, Lane was right at home on the field to kick off the game versus the Baltimore Orioles.

Originally from Kernersville, North Carolina, Lane’s career began with the album Let’s Ride, which charted on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart in 2012. He made his debut with the single “Broken Windshield View” in 2014 and toured with Florida Georgia Line and Dustin Lynch. The Fix EP arrived last year, debuting in the Top 25 of Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and at No. 4 Heatseeker albums.

He’ll be opening shows for Rascal Flatts with Kelsea Ballerini all summer.
