Jason Aldean album, tour news

Having interviewed Aldean for his debut album and reviewed him live many times, I'm really looking forward to this album. Read below for the details...

Two-time reigning and current ACM “Entertainer of the Year” nominee Jason Aldean has revealed the track listing behind his eighth studio album REARVIEW TOWN - produced again by Michael Knox - and due out April 13. On “Drowns the Whiskey,” he is joined by Miranda Lambert

Fans who pre-order the album at any available digital retailer will instantly receive a download of its driving title-track.

“It’s about putting things behind you...things that have held you down...and looking ahead,” said Aldean of REARVIEW TOWN’s title track. “When you look at my career and the personal experiences I’ve gone through, it really seemed like a fitting title for this record and it’s one of the best songs I’ve ever recorded. It was important to me to pick songs that have substance to them, I’m more conscious of that these days.”

In related news, Aldean revealed the one-night-only lineup for his HIGH NOON NEON TOUR stop at the new Atlanta Braves stadium on July 21. As on other tour dates (see below for list), Lauren Alaina and Luke Combs will open. And Darius Rucker announced Hootie & the Blowfish will reunite for the night.

Fans can purchase tickets beginning next Friday, March 23rd at 10:00A ET at JasonAldean.com and LiveNation.com.

“Out of all the shows we’ve played, I know this show is going to be a career defining moment,” said Aldean at a press conference. “We haven’t had a chance to play Atlanta in a couple years in anticipation of this show and I know this night is going to mean a lot to my family and me. I’ve followed the Braves my whole life….was even at the ’95 game when they clinched the World Series…so this is a huge full circle moment for me."
